Welcome 2010

It has been so long since I have written on the blog I thought that I would take this chance (it being a new year and all) to say hello to all our friends and family and kinda tell you what is going on in our lives right now.
We had a wonderful Christmas holiday in Utah. We were able to fly there for 18 days. We had a great time relaxing and spending time with family. Zachary celebrated his 7th birthday while we were there and he can't wait to turn 8. He is growing up so fast I can't believe it. We also got to go see the Savior of the World (thank you, Uncle Bob) It was really great. I had never seen it before and it was amazing. President Uchdorf and his family were there also.I felt a little star struck.. Kinda funny.. What a great way to finish off Christmas by seeing a play about our Saviors' birth. We are still in Georgia, Tad just graduated from the Captains Course here and now is preparing to enter Ranger school at the end of January. If everything goes as planned we will be moving to our next Duty station (fort Drum, NY) at the beginning of April, but does anything really go as planned when it comes to the Army?? Not really. Not matter how much we try to plan the plans always change. "Go with the flow" is my new motto. If you don't you'll drive yourself crazy.. I just finished a course on home staging and am now certified, I am just waiting for my certificate to come in the mail. I would like to set up a business that does consultations and home staging. For all of you out there who have never heard of it, it is: Someone who wants to sell their home and they need a little extra help to get the home ready for the market. I would come in and evaluate the home and come up with ways to better show the home. Whether it is just decluttering or depersonalizing the space or minor repairs to contracting on some major repairs. I hope that it works out I enjoy the work. It is almost like design where my degree originally started.. Kyler is Kyler. :) He is almost 5 (in February). He loves school, can't wait to go to school. He asks me every morning. "Is it school day" When I say yes he gets this big grin on his face and says "YES".. I don't know if he is glad that it is school or that he knows he can play the PLaystation 3 for a little while before school. Either way he is enjoying himself. The kids are constantly on the go and never seem to slow down till their heads hit the pillow. I love it. They are great kids, most of the time, which I would say is true for most kids. We are loving our time here in Georgia and sad that is coming to a close, but we are looking forward to out new adventure in New York. Tad spent his Freshman and Sophomore years there and is looking forward to going back. Although I have heard that I don't know what snow is until I have lived there. It could turn out to be a definite adventure.. We I hope that this new year will bring you all health and happiness. I am sorry that we didn't get to see all our family over the holidays and hope we can get together next year.. Take Care everyone.. All Our Love, Tad, Melissa, Zach and Kyler
